Ildiko Ignacz, the lead designer of the winning project Scrumbs explains “The design challenge was to create something serious, yet playful, and provide as much information as possible, without cluttering the user interface. The predominantly white theme provides a clean and fresh feel combined with small saturated accents; but white in its purest form was too dull to stimulate the user visually. To solve this problem a spectrum of grays have been introduced to the design in the form of shapes and gradients.
