Dress form design was inspired by a cartouche which is an ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic nameplate, shaped like an oval with a horizontal bar at the base of the oval and a king's nickname written inside of the oval. The oval surrounding their nickname was meant to protect them from evil spirits in life and after death.
