Details of A Bird of a Different Feather Hiroki Izumiya, the creator of the award winning print design A Bird of a Different Feather says “"A Bird of a Different Feather: A Picture Book" is an abridged translation of Izumi Kyoka's 1897 short story "Kecho" with illustrations by Nakagawa Gaku. In this English-language version, special attention in terms of design was paid to details of materiality like paper choice and printing method, as well as to the stylistic interplay between word and image on the page.
