FABIEN FONTAINE, the creative mind behind the winning baby products design Lalaboom Educational Beads explains “Lalaboom is all about organic patterns and open play. Designer challenge was to gather toddler’s essential play values into one product and keep it simple and attractive. The ball figure became the most appropriated shape as it offers various possibilities. Starting from this point, designer added functions and played with patterns and shapes. The trick was to open the bead via a gentle twist system to turn it magical. Once the bead is open it reveals another bunch of possibilities (building, colours & shapes combination…).
