About String game of light

Guojian HU, the creative mind behind the winning lighting design work String game of light explains “Jing'an District and Zhabei District, are located in the center of Shanghai, China. At the end of 2015, it was announced that the two districts were to be merged into a new district. To commemorate this event, the government wanted to build a unique installation at the junction of two districts, as a symbol of unity and cooperation.
