Gao Fenglin, the lead designer of the winning project Twins explains “This is a tire with two cavity. The advantage is that if the sharp things break the tire, only one of the cavity leaks, and the other remains intact, which makes the whole tyre not completely deflated. As a result, the car can run safely for a time, and it will not change direction suddenly.
