Winner Design: Tribe Variant
Peilian Ye, the lead designer of the winning fashion design Tribe Variant explains “Tribe variant is a women’s wear graduated collection which contained 7 outfits in total. The inspiration of this project is a juxtaposition which mainly deriving from African tribe art and modern cubism artwork. To deconstruct, exaggerate and transform these primary elements in certain way to present special visual appeals is the main method of manipulation for this project.
