Carlos Lozano, the lead designer of the winning work Olafur k explains “Experimentation and development to create a new material or a new entity of material from the plant species Arundo donax. This plant is an invasive species in much of the Mediterranean basin and other countries of the world; therefore, it is detrimental to native ecosystems and their flora and fauna.
