Ayse Kirimli, the lead designer of the winning project Berfend explains “The Berfend breakfast knife is a combination of a knife and a spoon together in one product. It is a problem solving product with its unique spoon like curvy shape. While eating, It is a complexity to get liquid foods like honey and jam with a knife. This problem is usually solved by adding extra spoon on the table or spinning the knife not to pour the liquid out. Using the Berfend knife, the user doesn't need to spin the knife over and over.
