Concerning World Cup SporTV´s glass studio

Letícia Vorcaro, the lead designer of the winning performing arts design work World Cup SporTV´s glass studio explains “SporTV is Globo’s sports network, the largest in Brazil, and has three channels with 24-hour sports. For the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Sportv built a semi-spherical structure made of glass and metal at Ilha Fiscal’s courtyard, close to the shore, and using its own reflex on Guanabara’s Bay to create an illusion of continuity of the structure, creating a studio integrated to the city through reflexes on the water, putting modern elements and together with classic architecture, enlarging the possibilities of interfere in settings of programs, as well as changing Rio's landscape.” Learn more about this design at: https://competition.adesignaward.com/design.php?ID=39918
