Macedo Salgado, José Maria Passarelli Filho and Denilson Jose da Silva has been granted the prestigious A' Design Award in Furniture Design Category selected as the winner by the international judging committee of the A' Design Awards & Competitions within a great number of submitted designs.

Concerning Athos

Patricia Salgado, the creative mind behind the winning project Athos explains “Inspired by the mosaic panels created by the Brazilian modernist artist Athos Bulcao, this coffee-table with hidden drawers was designed with the purposes of bringing the beauty of his panels - and their bright colours and perfect shapes - into the inner space. The above inspiration was combined with a children's handcraft consisting in four matchboxes glued together to build a table for a doll house. Due to the mosaic, the table references a puzzle box.
