Pablo Vidiella, the creative mind behind the winning work Hone explains “Hone shelf is a timeless and magnetic design inspired by natural forms, and arises as a reinterpretation of a traditional shelf through a conceptual alteration of the physical properties of the material. In this way, the solid wood becomes elastic in a conceptual way. By doing so, the vertical supports stretch outwards isolating the horizontal planes, giving movement to the whole piece and promoting load transmission.
