Martino Spreafico, the lead designer of the winning design WWI Trail explains “Sui Camminamenti della Grande Guerra is a 96 pages outdoor guide book. It's a 165x235 millimeter hard-cover book with a paper pocket where is folded the map of the trail. The descriptions of trail's stages are combined with modern and colored images of the area. Each chapter has an infographic with the information of the stage like length, elevation and time. Also, several double pages with black-and-white old pictures, poems and author's thoughts, separates chapters.
