Manuel Lap Yan Lam, the designer of the award winning work Ocean Vista says “Ocean Vista is a public toilet renovation project located along the coastal trail at Coloane Macau on the hillside facing the ocean. By reorganizing the interior spatial layout and introducing new functional elements on top, the new design optimizes function of a public bathroom, and brings human closer to nature. The brown and reddish functional elements that adhere to existing structure are inspired by the rocks along the costal trail.
