About Calm the World

Matt Liao, the creative mind behind the winning project Calm the World explains “To patients, waiting in a dental clinic is usually anxious and longer than expected. The design team proposed that a calm waiting ambiance is the key. A spacious high ceiling lobby functioned as the reception and waiting area was then created for patients’ first impression. They use a groin vault ceiling, simple wood moldings and the marble grid floor to promote the ambiance of an old school library, where one can always seek for his own calmness.
