Yumeng Gai is a furniture designer graduating from Rhode Island School of Design. In her design work, creating identities for furniture is the main concept. Furniture is creatures like other living things on this planet. They have their emotion and expectation of the world, and they eager to participate in our daily life. Yumeng is interested in building interactive relationships between furniture, humans, and the surrounding environment, and creating an environment where humans and furniture respect, love, and take care of each other. And during the interaction process, furniture enhances their unique identities.
