Ismael is a product designer passionate about serving people by solving for their needs and understanding the gravity of those decisions as they impact our world. He has always been interested in human interaction in both the physical and digital space: how telling, specific, and dynamic it can be and how it continually changes. As a result, he has become more sensitive and observant to understanding the need and feelings of others which serves as the foundation for his approach to human-centered design and design thinking. Furthermore, he dovetails his engineering, product design, and psychology education by striving for extreme competency in his craft. Namely, pushing his designs beyond the digital space by invoking emotion or giving them life-like energy. His work carries an imaginative approach that allows him to explore innovative solutions at the intersection of his interdisciplinary education. What's more, his scientific questioning of the effects and byproducts allows for his digital experiences to blend into the physical space without negative ramifications. Finally, his focus on storytelling keeps his end user's experience at the core of his design decisions. Most recently, Ismael has been awarded the Kleiner Perkins Design Fellowship where he was chosen from a pool of 3000+ applicants as 1 of 17 design fellows to participate in the Kleiner Perkins Fellowship program in Silicon Valley. Moreover, his work has been featured on UXPlanet, Bestfolios, Cofolios, Colormelon, WP Amelia, and UX Design Weekly.
