Motivated by cement’s prominently characteristics and properties, the architect Elena Kapompasopoulou employs innovative design and fabrication techniques to disrupt the conventional bond between concrete and architecture, and familiarize the human body with a material used until now only for construction purposes. Her brand Cement Chemistry, launched in 2014, focuses on the unique applicability of concrete as a malleable resource for architectural jewelry design, and brings to life handmade, limited edition jewelry, inspired by raw materiality and geometry - available in bold shapes and colours.
