Upon entering the apartment located at the top floor of the residential building, the feature wall cladded in herringbone patterned wood and textured concrete, which spans the five metre height makes itself as the visual focus in the space. With natural light streaming in through the lofty double volume windows, the soft sheen concrete floor playfully reflects light to amplify the unique pattern, creating a bespoke space.

Edwin has an experimental attitude to life and combined with his open-mindedness, he sees things from unconventional perspectives. This allows him to express himself in creative ways and often connect the homeowner’s needs, wants (and occasionally far-flung ideas) into a single theme to create a bespoke space. ​ As a design graduate, he has taken up the role to be the lead designer ranging from residential and commercial projects such as cinemas, offices, retail shops and restaurants. Edwin Chong is the founder of Leplay Design, a local interior design studio.

Leplay Design is led by Edwin & Shalynn, a couple team working hand-in-hand to deliver projects in a thoughtful, collaborative approach.
