The OZOa electric bike features a frame with a distinctive āZā shape. The frame forms an unbroken line that connects key functional elements of the vehicle, such as wheels, steering, seat and pedals. The āZā shape is oriented in such a way that its structure provides a natural in-built rear suspension. Economy of weight is provided by the use of aluminum profiles in all parts. A removable, rechargeable lithium ion battery is integrated into the frame.
Nimrod Sapir was one of the first to coin the term "last mile solution" and develop an electric scooter brand, MYWAY, as a garage project which would help people commute with minimal time and effort, as well as help reduce the carbon footprint of car-use in urban environments. In 2014 Nimrod entered into a partnership with Ningbo MYWAY Intelligent Technology Co. Ltd. which led to the mass production of this model and, over the years, to the design and marketing of 3 other electric scooter model series and, most recently, one e-bike series.
The company, which was founded by the designer in 2009, is a pioneer in the field of electric scooters as personal commuting vehicles in urban environments. This particular e-bike project is the first bicycle to be designed within the company's line of electric scooters, which have been developed and sold worldwide.
