Homa is designed to be a practical dual purpose artwork, changing from a ring to a necklace. It gives its user the option of choosing the function to stimulate the feeling of interaction amid the creator and the user. Since the inner ring is elastic, it can be adjusted based on the size of user’s finger. A rail mechanism, based on train wheels, is devised to turn the ring to a necklace. Choosing a rail mechanism and making the movable part of ring are the creative parts of this design. A simple lock has been utilized beneath this piece; so it could be fixed after getting in the Ring mode.
Mehdi Moazzen (born September 9, 1979) is an Iranian talented and enthusiastic designer and artist and also the founder of “Moazzen Gallery”. He is eager to continue and extend his job in jewelry making also Persian painting, especially in traditional Iranian styles. Mehdi Moazzen has held several exhibitions and fairs in Iran, in mythological fields, to make the society familiar with traditional and mythological concept, more. He has managed several private jewelry workshops in Sari, Iran, since 1998.
Moazzen Gallery is an institute based in Sari, Iran. The main activities done here are educating, designing, modelling and craftsmanship in jewellery field. Moazzen Gallery has accomplished works said above for about half a century now, and is now concentrated in 3D printing and rapid prototyping technologies, mechanising and improving the classical craftsmanship to modern form in northern Iran.
