The Tab is inspired by traditional art and architecture of its culturally rich surroundings. The design intent was to transcend its architectural expressions of modernism by Boxing local Art and Culture. This is symbolic of the development and progress of this fast-developing industrial city in Eastern India is making. The Tab is developed in the Public-Private Partnership model with the government of West Bengal. The various green building strategies adopted in this building led to the Igbc Platinum Rating (core and shell category).

Prashant Sutaria, is Principal Architect, PSA, and Founder of CELPT- Centre of Living and Planning for Tomorrow . He is a creative architect who believes in designing solutions for long term and likes to explore various architectural vocabularies. He is working on a variety of projects and exploring ideas for well designed built environment which can contribute towards betterment of humanity. Over the years his firm has won many national and international awards. He has delivered talks at various forums across India, South East Asia , middle east and Africa.
