Buchar MC.B5 Power Hammer

A light but strong power hammer called Buchar MC.B5 was intentionally developed for enthusiasts, jewellery makers as well as professional blacksmiths. Thanks to its installable wheels is easily relocatable. It allows to adjust the workspace effectively according to current needs even in a small workshop or a garage. Although, the design is focused on simplicity and easy maintenance, the machine is suitable to shape a workpiece with diameter in a range of 0-35 mm and at the same time the force is also adjustable.

Julius Szabó is a product designer living in Trstice, Slovakia. His main fields of interest are lighting products and machinery design. Some of his works participated in Slovak National Prize for Design 2017 and 2021. In 2020, his Power Hammer Buchar MC.B5 was awarded Bronze A' Design Award in Prosumer Products, Tools, and Machinery Design Category. In 2021, his collector called Ossed was selected for the exhibition of Slovak National Prize for Design 2021 and in 2022 the collector was awarded Bronze A' Design Award in Agricultural Tools, Equipment and Machinery Design Category. His works can be characterised as an interaction between seemingly different concepts that place the objects in an unexpected context. Emphasis on clear and simple lines is always detectable.
