With an aging population in the Western world and the strain on health services, Blink as a compact smart device is used at home to measure vital signs and perform basic medical tests. It guides the user to take their own blood pressure and body temperature and can also be used to perform blood, urine and saliva tests. The collected data is reported to a physician and enables feedback thereby empowering users to self-monitor, and encouraging a more proactive attitude towards their own health. The ambition for Blink will improve the quality of healthcare by saving time, money and energy.
