Makuko is a small furniture design studio. The name Makuko comes from the native people of Brazil. The way they express themselves through painting and transform nature into a functional living environment forms the basis of our design inspiration. We are inspired by nature, animals, architecture and cultures from all over the world – but our development process begins on the smallest scale. We experiment with our hands, playing with forms, angles and perspectives until we reach the ideal shape.

Studio Makuko has set itself the task of creating practical pieces of furniture with high design standards. Clean lines, clean forms, minimalist aesthetics - and all in timeless black. From the idea to the design - everything is created and implemented in the German capital of creativity. Our suppliers are also based in Berlin and in the surrounding area of Berlin: we want to remain regional and local and pay close attention to sustainability.
