Beatrice Bonzanigo Casa Ojala Highly Flexible House
Casa Ojala Highly Flexible House is Golden Design Award winner in 2018 - 2019 Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award Category.
Casa Ojala Highly Flexible House

The architectural limits of forced views, filtered light, controlled air and untouchable canopy are broken. Casa Ojala is a patented project by Architect Beatrice Bonzanigo. It is a small house with high flexibility. Its strenght comes from its innovative manual mechanical system. The surprise and the simplicity with which it changes, create a unique experience of a new and palpable life, a new discovery in the world of static architecture. The limited space converts into an infinite home. The home becomes a surprise, a game, a theatre, fragrances and gestures. The landscape is its facade.

Beatrice Bonzanigo

She is a 34 years old extremely curious woman. She travelled a lot around the world. She is able to find every single day important reasons to fully experience life itself. When she feels attracted by a place, an idea, a mystery, a door, she jumps in it with her entire soul. Because she believes in what leads her from inside. She thinks that love for life is as important as gravity or time. She doesn’t believe in coincidences, she believes in willpower. She doesn’t like nervous people. She loves architecture as she sees it: highest art, enormous power to represent and study human beings.

Arch. Beatrice Bonzanigo, IB Studio Milan

Beatrice Bonzanigo graduated in 2009 from the Academy of Architecture of Mendrisio (Switzerland) under the guidance of architects like Peter Zumthor, Valerio Olgiati, the Aires Mateus brothers and Mario Botta, and after several work experiences abroad, including Sydney and Barcelona, she started to collaborate in Milan with her mother – architect Isabella Invernizzi, who has more than thirty years of experience and success. In 2014, IB Studio was established, specializing in the renovation of farmhouses, villas and chalets in Italy and abroad. A tireless traveller, a dancer and very curious, in recent years Beatrice expanded the horizon of IB Studio to Argentina, Chile and Uruguay in the steady pursuit of new inspirations and freedom of design.
