FlipMe is an IoT companion that aims to augment peer to peer interaction for active online learning. FlipMe physicalizes learning activities of paired peers. A flipping top provides real time feedback through a reading a book like motion triggered by learning activities such as viewing video contents. Group study activities are further expressed through a rolling ball feedback. A rotatable handle provides a nudging function for peer to peer interaction.

Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, simply referred to as UNIST, is one of the four public universities in South Korea which are dedicated to research in science and technology, along with KAIST, GIST, and DGIST.
