About WooYo Wooyo Architecture is interested at reading the significance of human existence, especially comparing to the nature. “Is human being a part of nature? Yes or no, what’s the difference in architecture?” Architecture exists between human and nature to highlight the question above, to answer who we are and to value our free will. Wooyo believes that in addition to satisfying firmitas, utilitas, venustas, good architectures have metaphysical meanings in the contemporary era, and they will provide experiences of spiritual dimension.
Woo and Yo come from “Tao Te Ching” by Laozi, the philosopher of ancient China. In Chinese, Woo and Yo are the two basic elements creating the whole universe; they rely on each other so that life goes on. Laozi said: The square, perfected, can not be shaped. Music, perfected, can not be heard. Spectacular, perfected, can not be seen. Tao, perfected, can not be spoken.
Woo and Yo means the nature of our universe in Chinese language. Wooyo Architecture focus on creating space which touch our esthesia and mind. As Woo and Yo, WooYo tries to explore the essence of space and the nature of living; wishes to bring people an old but new viewpoint to experience the world.
