Ciao is a interactive fitness kit for individuals who wants to keep their body healthy and be fit, by working out at home instead of going to the gym. Ciao consists of a main device and 6 types of workout equipments which are wirelessly connected to the former. The main device has OLED display to show real-time feedback during a workout session. It is connected to the equipments with Bluetooth and to the Internet with WiFi. The main device displays the daily and monthly milestones and shows a real-time feedback from each equipment to the user during the workout session.

Basak Oguzalp was born in Ankara in 1993. She studied industrial product design at Gazi University in Turkey. In this process, she gained many project experiences and has won six design awards in Turkey (by IMMIB, IKMIB,OAIB). These include two first prizes, three second prizes and one special mention prize. In 2014 she interned for Pierre Cardin Office Furniture. She is also a winner of a scholarship for master education, awarded by the Turkish Ministry of Economy which enabled her to start her master’s in Milano at NABA, starting in 2017, where she is currently studying.

This product was designed by Basak Oguzalp, Sangeeth Peethambaran, Takuya Fujimori, Robin Yayla who are master degree student as a course project at Nuova Accademia di Bella Arti in Milan. Course name: Integrated New Media, Professor name: Silvio Cioni year: 2018
