The designer's idea was to reflect about all stages of design using the Dieter Rams ten design principles as reference, and to utilize a simple object to convey a design philosophy that goes beyond aesthetics. What makes a lamp, a lamp? And How simple can it be? The design is composed by four basic elements intertwine to form a minimalist and geometric expression of a traditional ceiling lamp. Nowadays, sustainability is one of the big challenges designers need to face. These designs use natural materials that are recyclable, compostable and biodegradable.
