Qing, a color representing Vitality in Chinese culture, becomes a mantra which guides the house to be designed as a dynamic canvas. Due to the low floor height of this building, two voids are created to make a contrast which helps compress space to result horizontal and vertical extension. One by the curve glass wall shapes the stairs into a flower blossom booming upward. The other void connects the formal and private living rooms on different floors and further extends to the glass conservatory till the closed prayer room. Such a void gives the house a flow- dark and bright, in and out.
I traveled round the world for one year in 2008-2009. Besides being a designer, I used to be an editor, a farmer, and a street magazine circulation director at the same time. I am interested in Argentina Tango, Taichi and Traditional Chinese medicine. To keep curious about unknown and to keep learning is my life Philosophy.
