The book illustrated the life stories of an ADHD child and his family, not only helped public to understand the practical problems faced by the family, but also to empathise with the SEN children and their parents regarding their struggles by using different colour filters to look through the inner world of the characters (Red–reflects the SEN child, Green–reflects their parents, Blue–reflects public) in the book. It is expected that the public can have more understanding and acceptance.
Funded by the Chow Tai Fook Charity Foundation, Hong Kong YWCA has launched a 3-year project - “Y-Flight: Family-based Support for Children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)” in 2016. The Association had teamed with the Hong Kong Central Library in 2017 to offer an alternative learning experience for the SEN children and their families.
