Karin Castens Two Forever Jewellery
Two Forever Jewellery is Golden Design Award winner in 2017 - 2018 Jewelry Design Award Category.
Two Forever Jewellery

Two Forever is a Danish wedding set: Unlike most such sets, the two rings interlink like a hook and a loop, preventing them from moving autonomously. The engagement ring, called “Hiding Heart” has a classic look to it with a twist: Instead of the traditional prongs, the setting is closed, thereby protecting and visually enhancing the size of the gem. Light still flows through from the cut out hearts which hide on the sides of the setting. The wedding ring “Hooked on You” is studded with diamonds, describing a curve, which embraces the center diamond of the engagement ring when put together.

Castens

Castens is a small Danish jewellery brand which has specialized in bespoke jewellery with a soft and somewhat outer-worldly look to it. The inspiration for the jewellery, designed by owner and jeweller Karin Castens, is largely found in nature and French art nouveau, but with a distinct modern feel to the abstract, undulating designs. Unlike the Hiding Heart rings, many pieces of jewellery from the hands of Karin Castens alternate between coarse, contemporary surfaces and polished areas, creating contrast and depth to the designs. A version of the Hiding Heart with just such a surface is currently under way. The studio-shop is located in the historical part of Copenhagen, behind the Royal Theatre and next to the (in-)famous Nyhavn. Here Karin Castens and her crew create primarily one of a kind pieces, but also a few, select collections such as “Rocaille”, inspired by a motif from the Rococo period or “Adorabella”, which features a grand, convertible tiara made of white gold, diamonds and Tahiti pearls. The customers of Castens seek jewellery which emphasizes their individuality and hence one-of-a-kind designs as well as custom versions of collections is what is mostly created in the cosy workshop. Often a piece is linked to a certain event or memory in the life of the client, featuring a certain motif or perhaps even by using old gold linked to a certain person.
