ButterOnce Corn Butterer

Fresh corn on the cob is always a staple at any summer barbecue, but getting butter onto your perfectly grilled corn cob without butter sliding off is nearly impossible. The knife features a curved stainless steel blade that wraps around the ear of corn, perfectly placing the butter into the grooves of the cob. Butter stays on the corn and doesn’t slip off onto plate. This allows much less effort on the user's part while spreading and more even butter application. The beveled side edge allows you to slice off a pat of butter to control how much you wish to apply onto the corn.

Joseph McMahon

J+A Designs was started by husband and wife team of Joe and Anne McMahon in 2014 to create and market simple household products that simplify and enhance everyday life.  Joe, an interior architect for several major design firms has created many projects that elevate one's workplace environment. In many projects he found it necessary to design new several light fixtures,(for which he holds several patents) to solve a problem in the workspace. One of his patented light fixtures was selected for the Amtrak waiting room at Penn Station, New York City.  His real love is product design, sensing a product need and coming up with a solution that is both beautiful to look and functions with ease.

J+A Designs, a product design company, was started by husband and wife team of Joe and Anne McMahon in 2014 to create and market household products that simplify and enhance everyday life. Joe McMahon, an interior architect for several major design firms, has created many workplace products for which he holds several patents. His Neo Ray Nuage light fixture won The Apex award. The Nuage, was selected for the Amtrak waiting room at Penn Station, New York City.    Joe created ButterOnce because as he put it, "It didn't make sense there wasn't a knife that could butter corn on the cob as easily as a buttering a slice of bread." So the ButterOnce Knife was created.
