Slices are wall modules that turn the classic bookshelf into a three-dimensional decorative element, inspired by the world of adventure and nature. The creative challenge behind this project was to reinterpret the most common furniture item, the bookshelf everyone has in his house or office, turning it in an object to awaken curiosity and arouse wonder; to find in an everyday need, the spark to realize an unexpected and uncommon object, that leads imagination far away. The bookshelf is a sculptural volume dismantled in a sequence of sections, that are the physical supports for the books.
I am 35 years old, I live and work near Padua. I graduated in architecture in Venice in 2005 , and from February 2006 I work as a freelance, developing architectural projects and interior design. I follow my projects from the sketch to the project manager on site and I love being part not only of the design process, but also working with who realizes concretely my idea, because this collaboration generates unexpected drifts and interesting new ideas.
