Kousaku says in the beginning, the air was so tense that it was almost like a battlefield. Eventually, that battlefield changed to everyday life, and he was gradually released from the tension. Then, He went out to the vegetation, alleyways and marches to his heart's content. Strangely, no matter were he went, there was unique atmosphere, and he felt signs of people and the kindness of the fishermen at the harbor. He had a nostalgic feeling as if it were the original scenery of his boyhood.
Kousaku thinks of himself as not only a photographer. He is a creative director. He focuses on nature and even likes to use scenery that others would consider to be outdated. He will try to make it part of something beautiful and natural.
