Blenheim Design created Japanese restaurant in the heart of Oxford. Shoryu restaurant features large open kitchen and raised sake bar which adds to the theater and drama of the environment. Locally sourced materials were used throughout the space with acute attention to detail and craftsmanship. Nine meter long open kitchen provides a focal point which pays homage to the restaurant roots of Hakata. The overall interior design combines a contemporary and paired back aesthetic with subtle elements reflecting the simplicity and elegance of Japanese architecture and design.
