Playoho Art Pavilion

PLAYOHO Art Pavilion comprises of 28 nos. of circular rings on columns with different materials and characters which moves in wind and cast shadows on ground. It creates a free public space for citizens to stop their hectic pace, stay, and hang around freely. Appreciating the skylight and wind. It encourages the public to slow down and rest on the lawn and have a moment of free play, or doing nothing practically but watching the wind move the rings.

Ricci Wong

Born in Hong Kong, Ricci Wong is a local designer and Artist/Architect. He studied Architecture at the University of Hong Kong where he graduated with a Masters degree. Ricci also has a degree in Visual Arts. Ricci's talent in producing inventive and innovative design has been a key driving force in his genuine and personal exploration in art and architecture. From 2011 onward he started his design workshop setting the foundation for its future in digital fabrication in relation to architectural theory and art in the current design field. The workshop made a punchline in the industry for Design & Build Fabrication. In 2013 Ricci invited his primary school friend Yip Chun Hang and a HKU junior Otto Ng to co-found Laab architecture studio. In 2016 Ricci set up his design base studio RAAW in Hong Kong. Ricci is a father of two lovely girls and constantly he is being inspired by them to create new artworks. Influenced by Michaelangelo, Piranesi & Duchamp during his young ages, Ricci is determined to work on creative projects by putting the design into real execution.​

RAAW is an emerging architecture, art and interiors practice based in Hong Kong, led by Art-chitect Ricci Wong, with a team of international designers to provide architecture, interior, installation, furniture, art and product design services. RAAW owned both our workshop and design studio based in Hong Kong, we are a unique stream of design studio which both conceiving our designs, while testing and building them with our own hands giving us a key advantage in the industry. By incorporating design and build disciplines in technological production, we strongly believe in architecture and art being an emotional, spatial experience produced by both the designer and the user.
