Anna Garefalaki Residence in Crete Private House
Residence in Crete Private House is Golden Design Award winner in 2017 - 2018 Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award Category.
Residence in Crete Private House

The L shaped residence, positioned on a large plot of land surrounded by neighbouring buildings, offers sea views to the northwest. The design is articulated in response to this visual connection with the water, establishing a constant dialogue between landscape and architecture. The building's external sides are austere, in order to ensure privacy within, while primary living accommodation is placed at the junction between the home’s two perpendicular volumes. The synthesis aimed for a spatial organization of the building through close contact with nature and the local climate.
