Anantara Jabal Akhdar Hotel is Golden Design Award winner in 2016 - 2017 Interior Space and Exhibition Design Award Category.
Anantara Jabal Akhdar Hotel

Located on a 6,6 Ha cliff edge plot at 2,000m above sea level, with a built-up area of 24,000m² including 115 keys, six restaurants and lounges, a spa and recreation facilities. Eighty furniture pieces as “contemporary interpretations of traditional Omani design” have been created especially for the project using the patterns and architectural details found in doorframes, ancient ceilings, and traditional chests in order to generate a complete furniture line adapted to luxury resort standards.

Lotfi Sidirahal is graduated from Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture (Paris, France), where he later taught as an assistant professor. He is also an Urban Planner graduated from the Urban Geography Laboratory of Paris X University. He was a Partner at the design agency "Nebka" in Paris, specialized in luxury retail design with clients such as Kenzo, Armani, Clarins, Guerlain, etc… Lotfi Sidirahal is founder of “Pod Architecture” a design studio based in Paris, Casablanca, and Dubai, that he still manages today. His pioneering projects have earned him several exhibitions in various museums and contemporary art centers as Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, the Vitra Design Museum in Berlin, Kunsthaus Graz in Austria, Fundacion Canal in Madrid, Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) in Boston, Hangaram Design Museum in Seoul, etc… He was awarded amongst the 40 best Architects by the “Borromini Awards" in Rome in 2001, and published in a specially issued book entitled "New generation of International Architecture", by Skira Editions. Lotfi Sidirahal does not consider architecture as limited to the building concept, but rather the art of creating space regardless of their physical or virtual nature, and whatever its scale.

Atelier Pod

Atelier Pod is an international Architecture and Interior design studio founded in Paris in 1999, with branches today in Dubai and Casablanca. Atelier Pod first started as an innovative laboratory on contemporary architecture and lifestyle evolution. Its first pioneering projects have earned several exhibitions in museums around the world, the most remarkable being the contemporary art centers as Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, the Vitra Design Museum in Berlin, Kunsthaus Graz in Austria, Canal Fundacion in Madrid, the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) at Boston and the Hangaram Design Museum in Seoul, … After the luxury retail architectural experimentations, “Atelier Pod” collaborated on more than twenty hotel projects, and became a recognized design firm in hospitality referenced by renowned international hotel brands such as Accor, Hilton, Fairmont Raffles, Carlson Rezidor, Anantara, Shaza by Kempinski, Paramount Hotels, etc… The studio’s achievements were awarded the creativity prize at Feidad in Taiwan, Eiffel Tower prize, in Paris, in addition to a nomination amongst the 40 best Architecture studios worldwide at the “Borromini Awards » in Rome.
