As Jakarta is a flood prone area, the floor plate of the entire liveable space and lap pool was elevated by one level. Due to the tropical weather in South East Asia, the humid conditions were countered by creating a suitable design with proper cross ventilation, in promoting air circulation throughout the house. The sun’s movement pattern was studied over the entire year, to better understand and design the open areas, providing a natural, cool sheltered area over the swimming pool and outdoor communal area.

Driven by the passion and the desire to excite the sensory experience of the human emotion, it inevitably led to the birth of Genius Loci Private Limited. The young but experienced team is dedicated in extracting the inspiration from the “Genius Loci” of every individual space it has to offer. Unique to this philosophy, the meaning of design stretches far beyond than just providing the ultimate design solution, but also to embrace the factor of experience within each space.
