The Little Zig light fixture is the second piece in a collaboration between European artist Henri Preiss and American designer Eve Fineman. This piece was developed by translating imagery from one of Preiss' abstract, geometric paintings, into a three-dimensional, functional table-top lamp. Preiss' concepts of earth and cosmos, ancient pasts and unknown futures, are realized in the lamp's glowing, cosmic shade and earthy, concrete base. The lamp is produced through mold-making and digital fabrication technology, allowing for minimal waste and ease of manufacturing.

I am a design practitioner and educator. My firm specializes in interior architecture with an emphasis on custom millwork and furniture design. Much of my work involves collaboration, such as the piece I've submitted, that I designed with artist Henri Priess. I have also been a design educator for past 15 years. I currently teach upper level design studios in the Interior Architecture program at Columbia College Chicago.
