Main design driver of the new shopping mall “Horosho!” in Moscow, is functionality. The goal was to fulfill the needs of tenants, to be friendly to visitors and pedestrians, meet client’s needs, be economically sensible and fast in construction, to be respectful to surrounding buildings and site in general and yet to combine all of that in single expressive gesture. The design provides and maximizes public areas, sunlight, provides wide array of dynamic lighting media solutions. As a result of a research an organic and dynamic shape was found which is able to answer all of these questions.

iq Architecture Studio was found in 2008 by Erik Valeev. “iq” in the name stands for “intersection” and “quality”. While architecture being a very multidisciplinary subject, studio’s focus is on intersecting the influences of as many disciplines as possible, trying to find best balance. High quality is the second important driver for studio’s general approach. Company’s array of work ranges from commercial public architecture, landscape and interior design to private projects. iq Architecture Studio is awarded numerous Russian and international awards including “International Property Awards”, “Zodchestvo”, “Arch Moscow”, “Zolotoye Sechenye”, etc.
