Globo Olympics 2016 Broadcast Studio

At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Globo Group held the largest and most important news coverage in its history, involving 2,000 professionals. For the first time at the Olympic Games, Globo Group has positioned the studios in the heart of the Olympic Park, broadcasting all the sports and journalistic programs daily, for almost a month, in a building designed for this purpose. Thus, a three-story structure was designed. The rotation of each of the 3 parts guaranteed the 270 degree view of the park.

Tv Globo

Largest communication group in Latin America and one of the largest in the world, Grupo Globo is a group of eight companies whose mission is to inform, entertain and contribute to the education of the country through quality content. The Olympic Games Rio 2016 are an example of this type of content, which charmed, inspired and mobilized the country. With Globo, SporTV and Globoesporte.com, Grupo Globo has made the largest and most comprehensive journalistic coverage of its history, involving 2,000 professionals. An army of sports enthusiasts who prepared themselves intensely to work in the first Latin American Olympiad, with the participation of more than 10,000 athletes from 206 countries. Besides the technical knowledge, dedication and commitment of these people, what made all the difference to the success of the coverage was the TV Studio built in the heart of the Olympic Park to be "the home" of Globo, SporTV and Globoesporte.com during the games. The structure, strategically located in the center of the Park with a privileged view to the arenas, served as the headquarter for the transmission of competitions and for the anchoring of news programs and programs. It became a reference for the public: Not only for the viewers, but also for the visitors of the Park, who did selfies, interacted with the presenters and got excited about the athletes who visited the facility. An environment where everyone met and that made it possible to bring the excitement of the Olympics to all Brazilians.
