Anzu is situated in the St James's Market area of London. The restaurant is over two levels with dining on the ground floor, where a stone and metal bar dominate the space and conceal the staircase. Designers turned to Japanese philosophies of Shinto and Mayabi for inspiration. Traditional Asian building techniques and polished modern materials comfortably sit side by side. The warm ambience is achieved by the soft indirect lighting and an earthy colour palette. A wall sculpture of Geta sandals by the entrance and full height timber fins above the fixed seating are the only ornamentation.
