The design brief is for an office tower with a height of 60 meters for the Guangdong Macau Traditional Chinese Medicine Technology Industrial Park an emerging development in Hengqin Area of Zhuhai. The building will serve as client’s headquarter with rentable offices, Exhibition Centre, Business Incubation Centre, Service Centre and etc. The client envisions the building as the gateway and icon of the Park. It will create a sharing platform for scientific researches, cultural displays and developments of traditional Chinese medicine, forging a multidimensional public space.

As the "Guangdong-Macao Cooperation Framework Agreement” has been signed on the March 2011, the close cooperation between the governments of Guangdong and Macao have opened a new chapter in an entirely new way. In April of the same year, The Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park of Co-operation between Guangdong and Macao(GMTCM Park) which as the first landing project of implementing the Framework Agreement as well as the government of Guangdong and Macao jointly developing Hengqin was officially launched. The project not only innovated the cooperation model of Guangdong and Macao, but also marked a new historical stage of the Guangdong Macao cooperation.
