Different from most of the designers receiving academic educations in the field of interior design, Mr. Cherng, a dentist and designer, learns most of the knowledge of interior design by himself except when learning fundamental graphic drawing and space design. The Dr. Cherng’s Residence is a perfect example for a designer who rebuilds the living place on his own. The experiences of being a dentist and his life, in this project, have an impact on making this residence full of simple, Zen, and warm atmosphere, a place reveals a one-of-a-kind aesthetics.
