Alternative designs can be composed by using different colors and textures on the drop down doors of the FileBOX file cabinet, which has been designed in a manner so that it can be used single or double sided. The different design of the FileBOX provides for both not losing storage areas and for ease of use from the top without the user bending over. All of the parts of the FileBOX can be packed and transported easily by placing one on top of the other and can be assembled in a practical manner at the place of use.
Kemal Yıldırım is presently employed as a Professor at the Gazi University in Ankara, Turkey. Prof. Yıldırım has written over 150 academic articles in the field of Furniture and Interior Design. In 2015, he won the Exporters' Unions Grand Prize with his design AngledBOX at the Eighth National Furniture Design Competition organized by Turkish Exporters' Associations. In 2015, he received the Second Prize with his design named Life Bed in the Furnitures Design Competition that Saves Life in the Earthquake, organized as part of the 5th International Kocaeli Earthquake Symposium. He received A Design Awards with his designs named AngledSHELF, V-Bookcase, MyBATH, HexBOX, FileBOX, SLant and ZigZag at A' Design Award & Competition held in Italy between 2016-2019. He received Bronze and Silver Design Awards with his designs named PivotBOX and RotaryBOX at the European Product Design Awards held in Budapest in 2018-2019. Finally, he received Rose Gold and Silver Design Awards with his designs named PivotBOX, HittiteSun and ErgoFile at the Muse Design Awards held in the USA in 2019-2021
Kemal Yıldırım, the designer of the FileBOX, is presently employed as a Professor at the Gazi University in Ankara, Turkey. He won the “Unions of Exporters Grand Prize” with the design called AngledBOX in the Office Furniture Professional Category at the “Eighth National Furniture Design Competition” organized by the Unions of Exporters of Turkey on 10 April 2015. Furthermore, he won “Second Prize” with the design called Life Bed at the “Furniture Design Competition for Saving Lives in an Earthquake” that was opened within the scope of the Fifth International Kocaeli Earthquake Symposium held on 11 June 2015. In addition, he won 3 each “A Design Awards” with the designs titled AngledSHELF, V-Bookcase and MyBATH at the 2016 A Design Awards, included among the most prestigious design competitions of the world organized in Italy.
