This custom designed spoon, made of Jacaranda wood, has been carved in such a way that the body of the spoon follows the natural grain of the wood and also features a lower scooped edge on the left side. The handle has been carved to follow the formation of an adult females’ right-handed grip and blends seamlessly to the body of the spoon and allows for a fluid motion in serving rice. This spoon is a feature in my architectural custom designed cutlery collection.
Established in 2012, our architecture practice is a small firm located in Iran. We think locally and act globally and we work on projects in the Middle East and Australia. Architecture is not separated from art in our vision and we are passionate about design. As an architect and a designer, I follow up the same procedure in the design process. I think a design product has to be both functional and beautiful. Every single object can be a piece of art in my eyes that delivers both function and beauty.
