The client required a flagship destination and ultimate pampering experience with innovative features inspired by the hospitality industry. In essence, the task was to create the world's first beauty hotel in a busy retail environment. The design concept comes from a strategic understanding of comfort and how to service today's modern woman in an environment that is relaxing yet technologically advanced in the design of multi-tasking furniture and equipment. The final aesthetic is contemporary yet maintains a warm and luxurious appeal while being functional, ergonomic and efficient.
Since starting her design career, Carla has had extensive involvement in many prestigious, international and award winning projects. A rarity in the design industry, Carla is considered a retail specialist with particular focus on shopping centers, department stores, jewellery chains, fashion retailers, entertainment facilities and food retailers. Passion, talent and instinctive design expertise is the major force behind the work she has produced in North America, Latin America, the UK, Asia and presently the Middle East.
